Pyrography is the art of burning onto wood. Over the past several years I have worked with various kinds of wood and have honed my skills as an artist with this medium. Please keep in mind these are NOT LASER ETCHED. I do not own a laser etching machine and never plan to do so. Every piece is burned BY HAND, BY MYSELF. Enjoy!
Please be aware there may be a waitlist for pet portrait commissions. I do work quickly, but I have a growing interest in my portraits and sometimes this may mean your piece may take some time to get to. Thank you for your patience in advance. :)
As an avid sci-fi geek nerd myself, I can't help but extend my art into this realm as well. These ones are harder to price and are thus priced individually. Please keep in mind most of these are previously sold. If you are curious about a piece in particular, please contact me. If it's sold, I can make another just for you! Or if you don't see a character you'd like, contact me and I can make just about anything or anybody you prefer.
For those who just love their pets beyond imagination (I know I do), I offer reasonably priced, customized pet portraits burned onto wood. I do not have a laser etching machine, these are all done by hand. Every hair is burned with care and love. I strive to bring your pets to life in the wood, whether they are still with you today or if they've crossed over the rainbow bridge.
My current prices for portraits burned onto basswood are:
These prices reflect a single portrait burned onto each piece. If you have a request to add more portraits per piece, the charge is $75 per extra pet included in each portrait. Please message me for a quote on pieces larger or more intricate than described above.
Another aspect of my pyro art is my love for wildlife. Once again these are individually priced based on size and intricacy. Please contact me for personalized wildlife art!
<--- These Bears are for sale! They are priced at $4,000 + Michigan sales tax.
They are 6 feet by 2 feet and are burned onto a pine slab that is about two inches thick. Would look fantastic over a mantel or a log cabin-style home!
